“Janne creates an atmosphere of aspiration and insufficiency. The human beings depicted, if they even are human, oscillate between cruelty and vulnerability. Do we want to give them a chance? We feel ashamed to even look at them too closely. The artist works with a very own symbolism, transporting personal experiences in encoded motifs and selected proportional details.
